PREP Lawyer Contractor – Multiple Positions
PREP Lawyer Contractor – Multiple Positions
The Virtual Law Firm (VLF) Assessor and Capstone Evaluator are one role. During the final phases of PREP, candidate assignments are graded by VLF Assessors and Capstone Evaluators who are lawyers trained in applying the PREP Assessment Criteria. In the VLF phase, Assessors review candidate assignments for learning purposes and provide constructive feedback to identify where candidates have performed well, where there are opportunities for improvement, and how improvements can be made. These assessments help candidates develop skills and competencies, and prepare them for the Capstone Evaluation.
After the Capstone, Evaluators review specific assignment types to determine whether candidates have demonstrated the competence required to enter the practice of law. Capstone Evaluators provide constructive feedback for those candidates that did not achieve the required competence level and need to repeat the evaluation.
CPLED requires that VLF Assessors and Capstone Evaluators grade each assignment thoroughly, including providing inline, rubric-specific, and overall feedback explaining the rationale for their assessment.
Compensation will be paid at the rate of $45 plus applicable tax per assessment.

Candidates are able to select their Practice Manager based on the type of support or guidance they want to receive.
Candidates are required to book and attend at least one meeting with a Practice Manager throughout VLF; however, they have the option to have up to three meetings either with the same Practice Manager or with 2 or 3 different Practice Managers of their choice.
During the Foundations phase, Facilitators guide and provide feedback to candidates as they practice interviewing, negotiating, and advocacy skills in small groups over three-hour sessions. Facilitators also share knowledge and best practices for legal writing skills. They engage participants as they work through ethical, client relationship management and practice management issues in small and large groups.
