Being a Principal Product Marketing Manager at iManage Means…
You will own the go-to-market strategy for the security, governance, risk, and compliance capabilities of the iManage portfolio. In this role, you will act as the subject matter expert for this space, building strong cross-collaborative partnerships with Product, Engineering, Sales, Sales Enablement, Customer Success, and Marketing to translate complex functionality into market-ready narratives that support launch readiness, enablement, and consistent communication across internal and external audiences.
iM Responsible For…

  • Launch and Enablement
    • Creating launch plans that align to company GTM strategy and financial targets.
    • Applying established Portfolio Marketing go-to-market frameworks and processes to ensure repeatable, effective launch execution.
    • Partnering and collaborating with Product Management throughout the release lifecycle to ensure clear articulation of value and market readiness at time of launch.
    • Acting as a subject matter expert for Sales Enablement and informing content, training, demos while enablement and content teams manage content creation and asset production.
    • Working closely with colleagues across the Marketing organization to ensure launch success.
  • Messaging and Positioning
    • Creating differentiated messaging and positioning for the Security, Governance, Risk and Compliance portfolio.
    • Crafting value propositions that reflect how organizations govern information, manage records, enforce policies, manage client-matter risk and protect sensitive data.
    • Ensuring messaging reflects how AI introduces new security, governance, risk and compliance risks and how iManage helps organizations manage these safely and effectively.
    • Evolving messaging in collaboration with Product Management and the Sales as capabilities develop and customer expectations shift.
  • Thought Leadership and Brand Positioning
    • Serving as a subject matter expert when the marketing organization develops thought leadership, customer stories, and external messaging related to security, governance, risk and compliance.
    • Representing Portfolio Marketing in webinars, events, analyst briefings and customer conversations.
    • Strengthening how iManage is positioned in areas such as records lifecycle management, information governance, matter security, policy enforcement and threat awareness.
  • Market, Competitive Analysis and Customer Insights
    • Tracking customer insights and providing input and guidance to Product Managers.
    • Monitoring trends in records management, information governance, client-matter risk, policy enforcement, security and compliance workflows in legal and professional services.
    • Assessing competitive positioning across comparable markets and platforms to identify opportunities for differentiation.
    • Sharing recommendations to Product Management and leadership based on market trends, customer needs and competitive shifts.
  • Customer and Analyst Relations
    • Engaging directly with customers to understand security, governance, risk and compliance workflows and incorporating these insights into messaging and go-to-market plans.
    • Supporting Analyst Relations by providing accurate portfolio knowledge, competitive context and positioning guidance for evaluations and briefings.
    • Informing and guiding customer evidence and case studies with workflow and portfolio expertise.
iM Qualified Because I Have…
  • 6-8+ years of experience in product marketing or related field.
  • Experience with security, governance, risk compliance or information governance products in legal, professional services or enterprise content environments.
  • Demonstrated success partnering and collaboration with Product, Engineering, Sales, Sales Enablement, Customer Success and Marketing.
  • A process-driven working style with the ability to organize complex workstreams, standardize outputs and improve predictability and quality.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Comfort working in a dynamic environment and across multiple portfolio areas.
Bonus Points If I Have...
  • An understanding of security and governance risks introduced by generative AI, agents and agentic AI systems
  • Experience with legal or professional services workflows such as client-matter inception, conflicts checks, records retention, matter security, ethical walls or compliance oversight.
  • Project management experience that supports structured planning, coordination and delivery across complex product marketing initiatives.

The overall US annual base salary range for this position is $150,000–$180,000 per year. Individual compensation for each candidate depends on factors such as qualifications, experience, and candidate location. This range does not include additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses, commission, or benefits.
