The role serves as the principal technical authority for Snowflake, Power BI, and Dataiku and for the analytics services built on top of these platforms. The position ensures platforms and services remain secure, reliable, cost efficient, and aligned with SRP data and analytics strategy. The role operates as a trusted advisor across ACE and the Enterprise Extended Alliance and influences high impact initiatives and long-term platform and service direction. This is a principal level individual contributor role with no direct reports.

Responsibilities

  • Own architectural oversight for ACE analytics platforms and services, including Snowflake, Power BI, and Dataiku.
  • Define, uphold, and evolve platform and service standards, reference architectures, and design patterns.
  • Ensure alignment with governance, security, privacy, and enterprise IT policies.
  • Review and validate solution designs for scalability, reliability, performance, and cost.
  • Provide architectural leadership for nearly all high impact analytics and data initiatives supported by ACE.
  • Partner with Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, and Data Science leaders to align platforms and services with business needs.
  • Influence platform and service roadmaps and guide adoption of new capabilities within existing technologies.
  • Support enterprise teams outside of ACE through the Extended Alliance by providing architectural guidance.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex architectural and platform decisions.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution is required, plus an additional 18 graduate-level credits in the area of specialty preferred.
  • 10 years professional experiences in discipline related to Information Systems.
  • Strong technical leadership skills with the ability to guide, influence, and negotiate architectural decisions across teams, consultants, and contractors without direct authority.
  • Ability to lead complex, cross functional initiatives with competing objectives and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and technical troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
  • Well organized with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple concurrent efforts.
  • Ability to prepare and present clear, professional architectural guidance, recommendations, and materials for technical and executive audiences.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including disciplined documentation practices.
  • Requires in depth working knowledge of and experience with multiple technical areas across a large-scale enterprise environment, including:
  • Cloud data platforms and data warehousing architectures.
  • Analytics and business intelligence platforms and semantic modeling.
  • Advanced analytics and data science enablement platforms.
  • Data integration, orchestration, and transformation patterns.
  • Platform security, privacy, and access control models.
  • Cost management and performance optimization in cloud analytics environments.
  • Enterprise data governance, standards, and policy enforcement.
