You own how software and hardware come together into a monitoring program that delivers value, and you own curating the customer experience. That means you live and breathe it, you advocate for it, and you make sure every team that touches it knows their role and is moving in the right direction. This role sits at the intersection of domain expertise, customer experience, and cross-functional coordination. Your judgment about what the data means and what customers need shapes the decisions the R&D, and Hardware and Software PMs make. You don’t need to be an expert electrical analyst on day one, but you need to be curious enough to become one over time - through coursework, hands-on seminars, and getting yourself into the field.
