This role will serve as a trusted quality partner to Product and Engineering, owning end to end testing and helping define a strong quality strategy across new and existing features. The ideal candidate brings deep QA experience, strong automation skills, a thoughtful approach to test design, and the ability to improve testing workflows through AI, process enhancements, and close cross-functional collaboration.</p> <p><strong>What You'll Do:</strong> </p> <ul> <li>Understand Backblaze products and its software stack</li> <li>Write structured test plans for new features being developed</li> <li>Automate tests in python/javascript and contribute to current test harnesses</li> <li>Perform functional, integration and regression testing for Backblaze API and user flows.</li> <li>Leverage AI to enhance these workflows and accelerate testing </li> <li>Identify, record and document reproducible steps for tracking defects from origin to resolution. </li> <li>Interact with developers to clarify functionality, facilitate defect resolution and resolve usability issues. Perform verification testing of fixed defects.</li> <li>Contribute to continual QA process improvement efforts.</li> </ul> <p><strong>The Right Fit:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience with API testing and familiarity with cloud storage concepts.</li> <li>5+ years of QA experience, with a track record of being curious, analytical and methodical.</li> <li>A keen eye for detail and ability to troubleshoot.</li> <li>Experience with scripting and test automation software (such as Selenium or Playwright).</li> <li>Utilize AI tools in a manner advantageous to testing.</li> <li>Familiarity with TestRail or a similar test case management software and JIRA or another project and issue-tracking software is needed.
