<p><strong>Principle Responsibilities / Position Purpose</strong> </p><p>The Retail Associate/Tour Guide works in the merchandise sales area of our tap room and acts as the first and last point of contact for our guests. The Hospitality Merchandiser greets and works closely with customers to determine their needs, answer their questions about our products and recommend the right solutions, being able to promptly resolve guest complaints and ensure maximum guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate is friendly, organized, hardworking, reliable, and able to take charge in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a welcoming disposition. </p><p><em>Where the Best Beers Are Top 20 Brewpubs/Breweries for good beer USA Today</em> <em>25 Breweries to Know Draft Magazine</em> <em>10 Best Breweries to Visit in the South First We Feast</em> </p><p><strong><em>EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:</em></strong> </p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</strong> </p><ul><li>Act as a first point of contact for guests visiting our tap room and guide them through the Funky Buddha experience </li><li>Set a warm, welcoming tone as you greet and guide customers </li><li>Inform guests of any sales, specials (including limited release beers) or new merchandise offered and assist them with their selections </li><li>Conduct beer samplings on a regular frequency </li><li>Act as a source for brewery knowledge for our customers </li><li>Positively represent Funky Buddha Brewery and its values </li><li>Maintain front entrance and cleanliness </li><li>Provide professional and accurate information to guests and coworkers </li><li>Provide excellent customer service to both walk-in and telephone guests </li><li>Possess the ability to work with several guests at one time, while maintaining individual customer satisfaction </li><li>Keep merchandise area and drink cooler displays clean, organized, stocked and visually appealing </li><li>Use POS to accept cash and credit card payments and keep the cash register totals accurate </li><li>Execute inventory process as scheduled </li><li>Reduce loss by maintaining a watchful eye on the merchandise and process accurate transactions </li><li>Facilitate and help organize brewery tours, as well as set-up and staging of special events </li><li>Updates job knowledge by participating in staff training opportunities </li><li>Maintain responsible service of alcohol standards </li><li>Support FOH side work when needed (example, rolling silverware) </li><li>This list is not exhaustive and job functions are subject to change to accommodate changing business needs </li><li>Strong knowledge of restaurant/tap room operations and service procedures. </li><li>Strong communication and customer service skills. </li><li>Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours). </li><li>Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 25 pounds. </li><li>Punctual and regular, reliable attendance. </li><li>Honesty and Integrity. </li><li>Ability to work quickly, problem solve and think on your feet while maintaining poise in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Ability to talk to others to convey information effectively. </li><li>Positive, infectious attitude and sense of humor.
