Senior Accountant, AP & Automation

With our technological savvy and fan-first attitude we’re simplifying and modernizing the ticketing industry. </strong></h3> <p>We are looking for a Senior Accountant focused on Accounts Payable and Automation who is hands-on, detail-driven, and excited to build strong processes using technology. This role is ideal for someone early to mid-career who wants ownership, enjoys operating in the details, and understands how Accounts Payable (AP) fits into the broader accounting picture.</p> <p>You will run day-to-day AP and  partner closely with Accounting and Finance to ensure accurate, timely processing and recording of vendor payments. In addition to traditional vendor payments, you will support large and recurring client and seller payouts. This is not a passive oversight role–you will be in the work, applying accounting judgment, strengthening controls and documentation, and leveraging automation and AI-enabled tools to reduce manual effort and improve scale.This role is best suited for someone with the experience and mindset of a senior accountant who enjoys staying close to the work rather than managing a large team.</p> <h3><strong>What you'll do</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Own the full accounts payable lifecycle, including invoice intake, coding, approvals, payments, and vendor communication</li> <li>Review and code invoices accurately and timely with an accounting lens, ensuring proper expense classification, appropriate amortization of prepaid expenses, and coordination with the GL team on accruals and thresholds</li> <li>Maintain vendors,and purchase orders in our procure-to-pay system</li> <li>Drive continuous improvement: identify process gaps, propose improvements, implement workflow enhancements/automation, and improve documentation and training</li> <li>Actively leverage automation and AI-enabled tools to streamline invoice coding, reduce manual effort, and improve scalability of the accounts payable function</li> <li>Support the operational processing and release of client and seller payouts in our systems, while partnering with other teams responsible for calculation and reconciliation</li> <li>Take initiative on projects and communicate updates without needing constant follow-ups</li> <li>Follow established procedures while proactively recommending improvements when something can work better</li> <li>Serve as a friendly, approachable point of contact for vendors and internal teams</li> <li>Supervise and support a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist through day-to-day coaching, review of work, and prioritization, while remaining hands-on in processing and projects</li> <li>Monitor payment timing and adherence to payment terms, and support Finance in managing cash usage</li> <li>Partner with Accounting on month-end close support, audit requests, and ad-hoc reporting</li> <li>Contribute to  the annual 1099 process</li> <li>Own unclaimed property tracking and reporting process</li> </ul> <h3><strong>What you have</strong></h3> <ul> <li>3+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with exposure to accounts payable </li> <li>Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals beyond basic invoice processing</li> <li>Experience supporting month-end close and internal or external audits</li> <li>Comfortability in making day-to-day decisions independently and escalating thoughtfully when needed</li> <li>Comfortability using automation and AI-enabled tools to minimize manual work and rethink traditional AP processes</li> <li>Experience with procure to pay and ERP systems - Zip & NetSuite preferred</li> <li>Comfortability operating in the details and handling a high volume of transactions</li> <li>Curiosity and a tech-forward mindset, with interest in automation and process improvement</li> <li>Reliability and operates with organization and proactivity</li> <li>Communicative style that works well with both accounting and non-accounting partners</li> <li>Approachability, collaborative nature, and a practical working style</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Perks</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Discretionary annual bonus</li> <li>Flexible work environment, allowing you to work as many days a week in the office as you’d like or 100% remotely</li> <li>A WFH stipend to support your home office setup</li> <li>Unlimited PTO</li> <li>Up to 16 weeks of fully-paid family leave </li> <li>401(k) matching </li> <li>Student loan matching program</li> <li>Health, vision, dental, and life insurance</li> <li>Up to $25k towards family building, reproductive health services and Gender-affirming care</li> <li>$500 per year for wellness expenses</li> <li>Subscriptions to Headspace (meditation), Headspace Care (therapy), and One Medical</li> <li>$120 per month to spend on tickets to live events</li> <li>Annual subscription to Spotify, Apple Music, or Amazon music</li> </ul> <p> </p> <hr> <p><em>The salary range for this role is $84,000 - $121,000 USD.
