Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Content Writer with a strong command of craft, strategy, and cross-functional collaboration.

Please note, this role is not able to offer visa transfer or sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality content across a range of formats including articles, blog posts, whitepapers, case studies, product copy, landing pages, email campaigns, and internal documentation that align with brand voice and audience needs.

• Lead end-to-end content development from brief and research through drafting, editing, and final delivery, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and consistency across all touchpoints.

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and subject matter experts to translate complex concepts into accessible, audience-appropriate content.

• Define and maintain editorial standards, style guides, and content templates that ensure a unified voice and streamline content production across teams.

• Structure and manage content in Confluence, including knowledge bases, editorial calendars, documentation standards, and reusable page templates that improve discoverability and team alignment.

• Participate in agile workflows using Jira to track content tasks, manage sprint deliverables, and maintain visibility into content pipeline status across stakeholder groups.

• Conduct content audits and gap analyses to identify opportunities for improvement, consolidation, or new content creation aligned with strategic priorities.

• Apply SEO best practices, readability principles, and accessibility standards to ensure content performs well and reaches the widest possible audience.

• Partner with analytics and marketing stakeholders to measure content performance, gather insights, and iterate on content strategy based on data.

• Mentor junior writers and contribute to peer review processes, providing constructive feedback that elevates overall content quality across the team.

• Manage multiple projects and competing priorities with strong organizational skills, meeting deadlines consistently in a fast-paced hybrid work environment.

• Support cross-functional initiatives by providing writing and editing assistance for presentations, executive communications, and stakeholder-facing materials.

• Ensure all content adheres to organizational brand guidelines, legal review requirements, and compliance standards relevant to the industry.

• Drive continuous improvement of content processes by gathering feedback, piloting new formats or workflows, and documenting lessons learned to build institutional knowledge.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate extensive experience writing and editing across multiple content formats and channels, with a portfolio that showcases versatility, clarity, and strategic thinking.

• Show proven ability to adapt tone, style, and complexity to suit varied audiences — including technical teams, executive stakeholders, and external customers.

• Apply a solid understanding of content strategy, information architecture, and editorial planning to develop content that serves both user needs and business goals.

• Exhibit strong command of SEO fundamentals, web writing best practices, and accessibility standards that improve content reach and usability.

• Leverage hands-on experience with Confluence for structuring documentation, knowledge management, and collaborative authoring in enterprise environments.

• Utilize familiarity with Jira or similar project management tools to manage content tasks, track deliverables, and collaborate within agile delivery teams.

• Bring excellent research skills and the ability to synthesize information from subject matter experts, technical sources, and industry literature into clear, compelling narratives.

• Demonstrate strong project management capabilities with the ability to independently prioritize work, manage timelines, and deliver across simultaneous projects.

• Show experience in hybrid work environments and structured collaboration models that support distributed team communication and consistent output.

• Possess a bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience in content writing or editorial roles.

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $115,000 – 130,000 USD depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
