Come join the Salesforce Solution Engineering leadership org. This role focuses specifically on our SMB (Small Business) segment—the engine of innovation and one of the fastest-growing parts of the Salesforce ecosystem. In this role, you will lead a team of Solution Engineers who act as strategic partners to growing businesses, helping them navigate digital transformation and connect with their customers in entirely new ways.

The Small Business SE organization is built on a "Founder Mentality." We hire leaders who are comfortable navigating shifting priorities with grace and who view complex business challenges as opportunities to be creative. Your mission is to turn cutting-edge technology — including Agentforce and Data 360 — into measurable growth for our customers.

Mission

In this frontline leadership role, you will work alongside your team and directly with customers to deliver impactful outcomes. You will:

  • Lead Transformation Efforts: Guide SMB customers through their digital journeys, offering strategic counsel on AI adoption and achieving long-term success.
  • Inspire "Collective Genius": Build and nurture a diverse team of Solution Engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence where the team is deeply committed to quality and continuous learning.
  • Scale Go-to-Market Impact: Partner with Sales leadership to develop targeted plays and reusable assets, codifying wins into playbooks that drive Salesforce's transformation into the #1 AI Platform.
  • Shape Solutions: Ensure your team designs and demonstrates impactful solutions that resonate with SMB needs, leading "CIO-style" executive conversations and high-stakes Proof-of-Concept delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner for Success: Collaborate with Sales leadership to communicate Salesforce's transformational value and execute growth plans aligned with our strategic vision.
  • Grow Consumption & ACV: Lead the team in activating Data Cloud and Agentforce in key accounts, overseeing POC delivery and activation programs that drive measurable business impact.
  • Cultivate Technical Mastery: Maintain excellence standards where every team member continuously develops their knowledge in AI, architecture, and business process integration.
  • Represent Salesforce: Support customer engagements by facilitating discussions at both the executive level and deep technical conversations with Heads of IT.

Who You Are

Leadership & Strategy

  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role within strategy, management consulting, or sales organizations, with expertise in pre-sales and project delivery.
  • Founder Mentality: You treat the business as your own and lead with empathy, modeling calm and focus even during complex projects.
  • Proven ability to evaluate and reshape existing teams while mentoring individuals to achieve their full potential.

Technical Authority & Transformation

  • Strong technical background with 5+ years in Solution Engineering, Consulting, or similar roles.
  • Deep understanding of the "build"—from data strategy and IT architecture to AI workflows—with the ability to coach your team on technical details.
  • Deep knowledge of design thinking and human-centered approaches to innovation; you move beyond features to focus on business transformation and ROI.

Operational Excellence

  • Hands-on leadership style with a willingness to be "in the trenches" alongside your team on customer engagements.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills, particularly when engaging at the C-level.
  • Data fluency with adoption metrics, consumption ACV, and ROI analysis.

Work Location

This is a hybrid role. Employees are expected to work from a Salesforce office at least 3 days per week, with the flexibility to work remotely the remaining days.

Your Impact

You will set a culture that makes your SEs excited to come to work—supported, challenged, and building the future. You'll serve as a trusted advisor to your team, acting as a sounding board for challenges and helping them navigate shifting product roadmaps. Most importantly, you will redefine what is possible for SMB customers, turning AI-powered transformation from a concept into a reality for the businesses that drive our economy.
