About the role

The

Senior SAP Technical Consultant (BASIS – RISE Migrations)

is a senior, hands‑on technical leader responsible for the architecture, planning, and delivery of complex SAP RISE and hyperscaler migration programs.

This role is suited to an experienced SAP technical professional who has

come up through the ranks

— someone who combines deep architectural knowledge with

extensive real‑world, hands‑on delivery experience

, rather than theoretical design alone.

You will act as the

technical delivery lead

for SAP S/4HANA conversions, system migrations, and SAP RISE programs across complex enterprise landscapes. Operating at a

Principal Architect level

, this role also includes responsibility for

mentoring and uplifting a team of senior technical consultants

, with a clear pathway to promotion into a

Principal

role leading DyFlex’s

Project Specialists team

.

This is an Australia‑wide role with

full work‑from‑home flexibility

, working closely with customers, hyperscalers, SAP, and DyFlex delivery teams on some of the most complex SAP migration programs in the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the

technical architecture and delivery

of SAP S/4HANA conversion and migration projects, including

SAP RISE

  • and multi‑hyperscaler environments.
  • Act as the

technical delivery lead

across lift‑and‑shift, system conversion, and landscape transformation programs.

  • Perform and oversee

hands‑on SAP Basis work

, including builds, installations, deployments, upgrades, and migrations.

  • Design and execute

DMO, OS/DB migrations, and SAP HANA migrations

across complex, integrated landscapes.

  • Architect and validate

high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), and business continuity (BCP)

solutions.

  • Lead and perform

performance tuning

across SAP application, database, OS, and infrastructure layers.

  • Manage and integrate SAP components across complex hybrid and cloud landscapes.
  • Deliver migrations across

multiple hyperscalers

(including AWS, Azure, and SAP RISE environments).

  • Conduct deep

technical root cause analysis

, identifying and resolving systemic issues.

  • Provide clear technical leadership during planning workshops, design reviews, cutover planning, and post‑migration stabilisation.
  • Mentor and uplift senior technical consultants, acting as a go‑to escalation point.
  • Contribute to technical standards, reusable architectures, and delivery best practices.
  • Work closely with customers to communicate complex technical concepts in clear, non‑technical language.
  • Maintain high‑quality technical documentation including architecture designs, migration plans, and technical runbooks.

Qualifications & Experience

    15–20 years’ consulting experience

    • in SAP technical / BASIS roles within complex enterprise environments.
    • Proven experience delivering

    SAP S/4HANA conversions

    , system migrations, and SAP RISE programs.

    • Deep hands‑on expertise across:
    • SAP S/4HANA conversions
    • DMO migrations
    • SAP HANA administration
    • OS/DB migrations
    • System builds and deployments
    • Performance tuning
    • HA / DR / BCP architectures
    • Networking and SAP component integration
    • Extensive experience delivering
