Senior Workday Engineer

Job Overview:

The Senior Workday Engineer is a strategic leader and innovator, responsible for shaping the future of HR technology at KDP. This role goes beyond technical expertise, requiring vision, resilience, and the ability to challenge the status quo. This position partners with business leaders and stakeholders to drive digital transformation, propose bold solutions, and foster a culture of innovation and accountability, while working extensively with Workday to design, configure, and optimize HR processes that align with organizational goals

The ideal candidate will be based in Frisco, TX but will consider candidates in other locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Solution Design & Delivery: Architect and implement scalable, integrated solutions across Workday, ensuring operational excellence and data integrity.
  • Strategic Leadership: Lead high-impact HR technology initiatives, setting a clear vision for digital transformation and aligning solutions with long-term business strategy.
  • Innovation & Change Agent: Proactively identify opportunities to modernize HR processes, introduce new technologies, and champion innovative approaches that deliver measurable business value.
  • Configure, maintain, and optimize Workday modules including HCM, Advanced Compensation, Talent & Performance, Absence, and Learning.
  • Advanced Reporting & Analytics: Develop sophisticated dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights for HR and business leaders.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong, trust-based relationships with COEs and business leaders, influencing decisions and driving consensus without adopting a victim mindset.
  • Thought Leadership: Serve as a subject matter expert, advising on best practices, emerging trends, and future capabilities in HR technology.
  • Resolve escalated Tier 2 myHR tickets, ensuring timely resolution and conducting root cause analysis.
  • Mentorship & Collaboration: Mentor junior analysts, foster cross-functional teamwork, and promote a culture of learning and growth.

Total Rewards:
  • Salary range $76,000 - $133,800
  • Actual placement within the compensation range may vary depending on experience, skills, and other factors
  • Benefits, subject to election and eligibility: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Paid Time Off (including paid parental leave, vacation, and sick time), 401k with company match, Tuition Reimbursement, and Mileage Reimbursement
  • Annual bonus based on performance and eligibility

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience with Workday configuration and HR technology leadership.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, HR Technolnogy or related fields
  • Proven track record of driving digital transformation and innovation in complex environments.
  • Workday certifications (HCM, Talent & Performance, Advanced Compensation, Reporting) highly desirable.
  • Expertise in Jira, ServiceNow, and automation tools (e.g., Alteryx, RPA).
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing senior stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to translate technical concepts for executive audiences.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies.
