This role plays a key part in keeping the heartbeat of the Sony community active through meaningful online engagement, social-first storytelling, and creator support. The ideal candidate is deeply passionate about the Sony brand, plugged into internet culture and social trends, and energized by building authentic connections with communities and creators.<br><br><strong>About The Role<br><br></strong><ul><li>Support all aspects of community management engagement across the @sonyelectronics social media channels including Instagram, TikTok, X, Threads, Facebook, and Reddit. </li><li>This is an exciting opportunity for someone who lives and breathes digital culture, understands how brands show up authentically online, and wants to make an impact at a larger consumer electronics brand. </li><li>This is a part-time internship with Sony Electronics. </li><li>Hybrid schedule required: in-office at Sony’s San Diego office, 2-3 days a week (subject to change). <br><br></li></ul><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Manage day-to-day community engagement for @sonyelectronics social channels, including scheduling and live publishing of social posts, monitoring and brand engagement on live content, UGC engagement, and supporting boosting, as needed. </li><li>Respond to comments, engage with relevant community posts, and monitor brand DMs to ensure timely, thoughtful interaction with the community. </li><li>Help develop and launch new brand presence across Reddit including brand channel and subreddit community engagement </li><li>Actively participate in relevant cultural moments and online conversations from the brand’s social channels to keep Sony timely, relatable, and culturally connected. </li><li>Bring fresh, forward-thinking ideas to the team around social best practices in a fast-moving digital landscape. </li><li>Stay up to date on social trends, hashtags, viral moments, and emerging platforms to help keep Sony relevant and resonant. </li><li>Assist with performance analytics, including KPI tracking, monthly reporting, and competitor research. </li><li>Work closely and provide support to the broader social and extended community marketing team as needed. <br><br></li></ul><strong>Minimum Requirements<br><br></strong><ul><li>Recently completed or actively in final pursuit of Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. </li><li>Strong working knowledge of all major social media platforms. </li><li>Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills. </li><li>Experience in social media or marketing is strongly preferred (including internships, freelance work, or academic projects), with emphasis on Instagram, TikTok, and Reddit <br><br></li></ul>The anticipated hourly wage for this position is between $19.80 to $28.60. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for.
