The position will also perform a range of accounting and administrative tasks as needed. The role operates in a fast-paced environment and requires a strong work ethic, meticulous attention to detail and the ability to meet strict deadlines and adapt quickly. The Payroll Specialist delivers first-class customer service by responding to employee payroll inquiries with efficiency and accuracy.</p><p></p><p><b>The Target Pay Range for this position is $28-$34 Hourly. At Antech, pay decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, education, training and budget. </b></p><p></p><p><b>Essential Duties and <span>Responsibilities</span></b></p><ul><li>Process payroll across multiple pay schedules, including maintaining related records, preparing accounting transactions, providing audit support, and generating reports</li><li>Review and audit payroll records and reports prior to payroll <span>transmission</span></li><li>Issue and record pay adjustments to <span>employees</span></li><li>Maintain payroll files for the department, ensuring accuracy and <span>confidentiality</span></li><li>Serve as a key participant in system implementations, including testing and project <span>activities</span></li><li>Track, resolve, and respond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely manner via <span>ServiceNow</span></li><li>Escalate complex issues to the Payroll Manager as <span>appropriate</span></li><li>Assist the Payroll Manager as needed and serve as department <span>backup</span></li><li>Navigate the Workday system to input changes, process payroll cycles, and generate <span>reports</span></li><li>Serve as a system administrator for <span>Legion</span></li><li>Respond to emails promptly and accurately, including questions regarding payroll <span>policy</span></li><li>Partner closely with other departments and business units on payroll processes and cross-functional <span>initiatives</span></li><li>Maintain strict confidentiality in all aspects of the <span>role</span></li><li>Perform other duties as <span>assigned</span></li></ul><div><p></p><p><b>Education and<span> Experience</span></b></p><ul><li>Minimum 2 years of Accounting and/or Payroll experience <span>required</span></li><li>Experience with multi-state payrolls <span>preferred</span></li><li>Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university <span>preferred</span></li><li>Previous Workday and Legion software experience <span>preferred</span></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Knowledge, Skills and <span>Abilities</span></b></p><ul><li>Working knowledge of payroll principles, practices, and applicable multi-jurisdictional <span>regulations</span></li><li>Proficient in Workday and Legion; experience with ServiceNow ticketing system a <span>plus</span></li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP), Word, and <span>Outlook</span></li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly convey payroll policies <span>to</span> <span>associates</span></li><li>Ability to process high volumes of work accurately under strict deadlines while managing competing <span>priorities</span></li><li>Self-starter who works independently, takes initiative, and follows through to resolution with minimal <span>supervision</span></li><li>Sound judgment in problem-solving and escalating issues<span> appropriately</span></li><li>Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and business units while maintaining strict <span>confidentiality</span></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>Travel</span></b></p><p>Will there be notable travel in this position? The associate frequently is required to sit for extended periods of time, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The associate is frequently required to hear and speak in order to use the telephone, make presentations and communicate with people in an office or virtual environment. The associate is occasionally required to sit and stoop, bend, kneel, or crouch. The associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.</p><p></p><p>The associate will primarily work in a typical office environment or a remote home office. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The associate will be required to use a computer, spreadsheets, data base management, email, video conferencing and the Internet. The associate is frequently required to use a calculator; fax, copy machine, and phone system. The associate must occasionally use media equipment such as an overhead projector, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams.
