Sr Business Investments Portfolio Analyst

About the position

The primary purpose of this role is to support the effective management of the technology investment portfolio by providing analytical, operational, and coordination support across programs, platforms, and operating companies. The role maintains the integrated roadmap, manages cross portfolio interdependencies, and supports financial planning, business case development, and benefit tracking to enable informed investment decisions. This position also prepares portfolio level insights for senior leadership and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen portfolio governance and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Provides broad analytical and operational support for business operations. Monitor and manage the business capability blueprint as the single source of truth for assessing progress and risks in achieving 2035 aspirations.
  • Coordinates daily technology portfolio operations, supports resource management, and drives cross-portfolio synergies
  • Proactively manages cross-program/project interdependencies/implications and escalations; supports issue identification and resolution across delivery teams, platform teams, and OpCos.
  • Owns and prepares portfolio-level insights and narratives for Business Investments SteerCo and Exelon Senior Executives.
  • Supports technology platforms and product delivery.
  • Supports financial & budget processes (e.g., LRP, funding authorization), prepares monthly portfolio level financial reports. Supports development of robust business cases, and tracks benefit realization across the portfolio.
  • May develop, implement, evaluate, or lead projects or initiatives (e.g., business plan or process improvement initiatives).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or engineering and 4-7 years of related business experience, or in lieu of degree, 6-9 years of relevant business experience is required.
  • Advanced proficiency in standard software applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Power BI, Power Apps, Project), specialized business technologies and applications (e.g., workforce management, project management).
  • Ability to provide in-depth analysis and apply managerial accounting concepts, customer intelligence gathering, forecasting, staff planning, scheduling, analytical and statistical problem solving, financial, accounting, business and budget analysis.
  • Comprehensive understanding of a technology project's life cycle development and deployment strategies, especially related to risk and issue management.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills for project evaluation including analysis of complex projects with economic, financial, risk and decision analysis.
  • Proficient in business case development and ability to effectively present business cases to business unit leadership.
  • Customer driven with good oral and written communications skills and strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills.
