The pay range is $115,000.00 - $206,000.00

As a Sr Product Manager in Pricing, you will have the privilege of improving affordability for our Guests, while setting development priorities that routinely enter the industry spotlight, as they drive economic impact and transform the competitive retail landscape. You will lead the vision, strategy, and capability development of the centralized price management capability for the Enterprise. You will drive innovation through ownership of roadmap price decisioning that includes expanding use of AI and explainability of algorithmic recommendations. This role has ownership for both front-end and back-end development/design resulting in a flagship Price Product that serves thousands of users across the enterprise, through which you’ll have an opportunity to deliver business value for multiple personas. Working in partnership with Pricing Strategy and Operations you’ll evaluate current strategies, decide how to set the best price for Target using deep competitive intelligence, data science forecasting models, and adaptable financial and vendor partner guardrails. All of this will be informed through data focused evaluations and keeping the Guest at the center of decisions. You will partner with a deeply knowledgeable operations and data insights team to develop business cases that often have 9 to 10 figure financial impact and incorporate industry intelligence of shifting Guest expectations and experience in a rapidly evolving pricing solution space.


As a Senior Product Manager, you will work in the product model and will partner to develop a comprehensive product strategy, related roadmap, and set key business objectives (OKRs) for your respective product. You will need to leverage the knowledge of your product, as well as customer feedback and establish other relevant data points to assess value, develop business cases, and prioritize the direction and desired outcomes for your product. You will lead a product and work in unison with engineers, UX designers, data scientists and business partners to deliver a product.


You will be the “voice of the product” to key stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met, and that the product team is getting the direction and support that it needs to be successful. You will develop and actively understand the market, maintain a product roadmap and backlog outlining the customer themes, epics, and stories while prioritizing the backlog to focus on the highest impact work for your team and stakeholders.


You will encourage the open exchange of information and viewpoints, as well as inspire others to achieve challenging goals and high standards of performance while committing to the organization's direction. You will foster a sense of urgency to achieve goals and leverage resources to overcome unexpected obstacles, and partner with product teams across the organization to help them achieve their goals while pursuing and completing yours.

About you:

  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience

  • 6+ years of product management experience with domain experience in algorithmic operational decisioning applications

  • Experience with user research methods and collaboration with UX partners

  • Experience or demonstrated interest in business case development for product prioritization

  • Experience leading product roadmaps in data science leveraging techniques such as forecasting, clustering, and GenAI

  • Ability to lead a body of work with cross-functional partners

  • Experience with technology and ability to facilitate communication between business and technology teams

  • Experience working in an agile environment (e.g., user stories, iterative development, scrum teams, sprints, personas)

  • Ability to lead a body of work with cross-functional partners

  • Strong communication skills


This position may be considered for a Remote or Hybrid (known internally at Target as "Flex for Your Day") work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at a Target location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member's core role may be performed either remote or onsite at a Target location depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day. Work duties cannot be performed outside of the country of the primary work location, unless otherwise prescribed by Target.
