Job Description:

Shield AI is seeking a highly motivated Marketing Strategy and Operations Manager to drive strategic planning, operational rigor, and cross-functional execution across the Marketing organization. This role will partner closely with Marketing leadership and key stakeholders across the company to improve how marketing plans, prioritizes, and delivers against its highest-impact initiatives. 

The ideal candidate is a structured operator and program leader with strong project management skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment. This person is comfortable working across functions, influencing senior stakeholders, and translating complex priorities into clear plans, communications, and outcomes. 

This is an on-site/hybrid position is based in our San Mateo office in the San Francisco Bay Area.  


What you'll do:
  • Support strategic planning and operational governance for the Marketing organization  
  • Partner with Marketing leadership to develop annual and quarterly operating plans, including priorities, resource allocation, and success metrics  
  • Drive complex, cross-functional programs across Marketing, Business Development, Product, and Finance, ensuring alignment and execution against key initiatives  
  • Establish and manage operating rhythms (QBRs, leadership updates, planning cycles) to ensure visibility and accountability  
  • Prepare executive-ready communications, including business reviews, strategic updates, and decision support materials  
  • Serve as a central point of coordination across teams, helping to align priorities, resolve dependencies, and unblock execution  
  • Improve internal marketing operations by identifying and implementing process improvements, workflows, and ways of working  
  • Track progress against key initiatives and ensure alignment between plans and execution  
  • Proactively identify gaps, risks, and opportunities, and drive them to resolution 

 


Required qualifications:
  • 5–8+ years of experience in marketing strategy, marketing operations, strategy consulting, or similar roles  
  • Strong program and project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to drive complex, cross-functional initiatives from planning through execution  
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with and influence senior executives and align diverse stakeholders around strategic priorities 
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to distill complex topics into clear, actionable insights  
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities simultaneously  
  • Highly proactive, self-starting, and able to operate with a high degree of ownership and autonomy 


Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience working in both B2B and B2C marketing environments 
  • Experience supporting strategic planning or operational planning processes 
  • Familiarity with marketing performance tracking and reporting 
  • Expertise using AI/automation tools to improve workflows and team efficiency 


$142,000 - $213,004 a year
