The Strategic/International Business Developer (SBD/IBD) is a leadership role and part of the global Hilti / Oglaend IBD community. As an IBD you will be focusing on a portfolio of Global Accounts & Projects (specifically on the transmission and distribution (T&D) segment - EPCs, Utilities, OEMs) important for the Hilti / Oglaend business. You will create a strategy and lead its execution to increase utilization of Hilti / Oglaend solutions.

You will also coordinate projects in capture teams with worldwide Hilti team participation.

What You'll do

  • Accountable for driving the development of global transmission and distribution (T&D) projects within the Power segment through strategic account development, solution standardization, project specification, sales enablement (direct and indirect), and multi level relationship management to expand Hilti/Oglaend market share.
  • Accountable for the development of the strategy of the assigned projects and accounts, leading its implementation globally through Hilti & Oglaend counterparts globally.
  • Lead global project pursuit at the application level while simultaneously developing and strengthening account relationships.
  • Own the T&D project pipeline, proactively building and prioritizing opportunities with Hilti/Oglaend segment and capture teams to drive focus on strategic projects and increase share of wallet.
  • Responsible for bringing market intelligence inputs to the global teams to confirm and/or update corporate segment strategies.
  • Focus on project pipeline irrespective of project and sales location.
  • Ensure effective communication across teams and functions, acting as the single point of ownership for the assigned T&D portfolio.
  • Responsibilities include travel within the United States to key focus offices and regions, with international travel as required.
What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering or related field required
  • MBA or Master's degree preferred
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience working with engineering firms, large accounts, sales, field engineering, sales management, business development, or equivalent required
  • Demonstrated ability to develop account strategies for assigned key accounts
  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant applications
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural environment
  • Ability to develop long term account strategies
  • Strong conceptual thinking skills and the ability to utilize creative and innovative approaches in problem-solving
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • High degree of organizational awareness and ability to navigate organizational matrix to leverage resources
  • High level of motivation and customer focus, continuous improvement mentality required in a fast-paced results-oriented environment
  • Ability to influence a broad range of stakeholders
