A Snapshot of Your Day As a technical support/application engineer for our aero-derivative gas turbine (AGT) fleet in North America, you will provide technical support for the region, comprising Canada, USA and Mexico. How You’ll Make An Impact <ul><li>Develop Service-engineered solutions to meet product line requirements for the aero-derivative gas turbine fleet comprising SGT-A05, SGT-A20, SGT-A35 and SGT-A65 legacy engines include (T-56, RB211, and Industrial Trent) service and outages.</li><li>Address emergent field service issues to support customer requirements for the aero-derivative gas turbine units in the Distributed Engineering group.</li><li>Provide engineering support for ongoing outages through direct interaction with field service personnel and providing technical support for outage planning activities with the local Project managers.</li><li>Developing and implementing service bulletin procedures modification orders on the existing fleet, focusing primarily on the mechanical issues. </li></ul>What You Bring <ul><li>A bachelor’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Engineering is preferred.</li><li>5 + years of experience with gas turbine operations is required.</li><li>Experience with aero-derivative gas turbines (ideally Siemens SGT-AXX ) component design and service is a plus, along with a strong background in rotating machinery, manufacturing methods, and mechanical engineering.</li><li>Proficiency in control systems (Rockwell Automation, Flexitrend FT-series is highly desirable. Knowledge of and experience in auxiliaries and package design related to AGT are desirable.</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work remotely (internally and externally) are essential, along with effective oral and written communication skills; approximately 30-50% domestic travel is required.</li><li>Helicopter travel to oil rigs will be required from time to time. </li></ul>About The Team The AGT Technical Support Team comprises a multidisciplinary group of subject matter experts specializing in mechanical systems, electrical engineering, and control technologies.
