ADTRAV is seeking a Travel Agent – Leisure to be responsible for all aspects of trip booking and management of vacations for one of our luxury corporate accounts. This position requires someone who is highly organized, has excellent communication skills and has experience in a direct selling environment and in proactive customer development. As a valuable member of the advisor team, this position is a key player in growing repeat sales and supporting marketing initiatives, which includes qualifying customers to determine what destinations, modes of travel, travel dates and accommodations are needed and booking the travel reservations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Provide consultations with potential and current clients to assist them in making vacation plans with our company.
  • Answer calls and emails promptly from luxury corporate clients who are requesting new travel arrangements or changes to existing itineraries and provide prompt and excellent customer service.
  • Book and issue airline, hotel, car, and other tour reservations through GDS system, accurately and efficiently.
  • Establish and maintain a high-level knowledge of destinations and travel options.
  • Oversee all stages of the travel management process including payables/receivables, client care, and confirming travel arrangements.
  • Be responsive to clients throughout the planning process.
  • Meet all KPIs as required for the position (e.g., revenue generation, average commission, conversion rate, service fee penetration).
  • Document all information in the CRM to track contacts and the stages of the planning process.
  • Utilize various applications, including GDS, online booking tools, and various internal applications.
  • Follow ADTRAV policies, procedures, and approved workflows on how to service travelers.
  • Provide excellent customer service in every interaction with travelers. Show empathy and be able to identify and solve traveler issues.
  • Communicate effectively with other agents and employees to solve problems, gather information, and service travelers.
  • Become knowledgeable in ADTRAV's industry and customer base.
  • Participate in ongoing training to continuously build knowledge and skills in the industry.
  • Represent ADTRAV by embracing the company values and maintaining effective working relationships with employees, partners, vendors, and clients.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 2 years of leisure travel experience, with emphasis on using a consultative planning approach.
  • Minimum 2 years of successful sales experience.
  • Experience using a GDS System; Sabre required, Amadeus a plus.
  • Working knowledge and proficiency in Fly America, Open Skies, and federal travel regulations.
  • Experience booking international travel. Regional experience and knowledge of major European tourist destinations preferred (e.g., Northern Europe and Italy, France, England).
  • Highly knowledgeable of city, airline, hotel, and car rental codes.
  • Strong computer and typing skills, which includes the ability to navigate quickly between programs and using shortcut keys.
  • Demonstrated experience learning and using technology, and ability to use multiple applications and monitors at one time.
  • Strong customer service orientation with proven ability to establish and develop relationships.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).
  • Experience using a CRM to enter and track activities.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent listening skills; able to listen to and respond to the traveler’s needs and clarify as needed.
  • Strong attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality.
  • Highly self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Able to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment.
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
  • Ability to communicate ideas and concepts clearly and concisely, while also being open to receive feedback and direction as needed.
  • Able to present a professional and positive demeanor with internal and external customers/clients and work cooperatively.
  • Ability to work remotely and meet the company home-office requirements.
  • Able to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time, without leaving the work area.
  • Able to work a schedule that falls between Monday-Friday, 7am-7pm CT, as well as after hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Able to travel up to 15% to attend client, vendor, and company events.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality of company and client information.
  • Able to successfully pass a credit, criminal, and/or employment reference background check.


The pay range for this position is $24-26/hour with additional earning potential through commission.
