Key Responsibilities

As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, you will:

  • Assess, treat, and monitor patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions
  • Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and ventilator management
  • Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and analysis
  • Manage and adjust ventilator settings in collaboration with physicians and care teams
  • Respond to respiratory emergencies, including code situations
  • Educate patients and families on respiratory therapies and equipment use
  • Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records (EHR)
  • Ensure compliance with infection control and patient safety standards
Qualifications
  • Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
  • Current Delaware state license (or eligibility/compact where applicable)
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required (PALS preferred)
  • 1-2 years of respiratory therapy experience preferred
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills in acute care settings
