You will leverage the HERE platform’s APIs and interoperability capabilities to deliver high-quality, production-ready solutions.</p> <p><strong>This is an initial 6-month contract with the possibility of conversion to a full-time role with either HERE or the customer.</strong></p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>TypeScript / JavaScript Development: </li> <ul> <li>Design, develop, and maintain TypeScript-based applications running on the HERE (OpenFin) platform for the customer’s desktop environment.</li> <li>Leverage HERE’s interoperability APIs, workspace management, and notification capabilities to integrate with the customer’s existing technology stack.</li> </ul> <li>Customer Integration:</li> <ul> <li>Work as an embedded developer within the customer’s engineering team, participating in their sprints, stand-ups, and development workflows while building production-ready applications on the HERE platform.</li> </ul> <li>Technical Delivery:</li> <ul> <li>Build and deliver well-tested, performant TypeScript components and applications that meet customer requirements and timelines.</li> <li>Write clean, maintainable code following best practices and contribute to code reviews within the customer’s team.</li> <li>Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to HERE platform integration and TypeScript application performance.</li> </ul> <li>Collaboration & Communication:</li> <ul> <li>Serve as the primary technical liaison between the customer’s development team and HERE’s engineering and product teams.</li> <li>Provide regular status updates to both HERE and customer stakeholders, and escalate platform issues or feature requests as needed.</li> </ul> <li>Platform Expertise:</li> <ul> <li>Stay current with HERE platform releases and new API capabilities, and proactively identify opportunities to improve the customer’s implementation.</li> </ul> <li>Quality & Standards:</li> <ul> <li>Follow the customer’s coding standards and testing practices, ensuring all deliverables meet production quality standards and are well-documented.</li> </ul> </ul> <p><strong>What We’re Looking For</strong></p> <ul> <li>A minimum of five plus years of professional TypeScript development experience, ideally within financial services or enterprise SaaS environments</li> <li>Strong communication skills and comfortable working as an embedded resource within a customer’s team</li> <li>Expert-level proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript and modern front-end tooling (Webpack, Vite, etc.)</li> <li>Experienced in building and deploying large-scale single page applications in production environments</li> <li>Must be self-directed and comfortable working independently as a fully dedicated remote resource for a single customer engagement</li> <li>Experience with OpenFin/HERE platform, FDC3 interoperability standards, or financial desktop application development is strongly preferred</li> <li>Experience with state management libraries (Redux, MobX, Zustand), testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library), and CI/CD pipelines</li> <li>Familiarity with Electron, PWAs, or other desktop web application frameworks is a plus</li> <li>You are excited about the opportunity to work deeply with a single customer, delivering high-impact TypeScript applications on the HERE platform, with a path to full-time conversion</li> </ul> <p><strong>Engagement Terms</strong></p> <p><em>Contract Details -</em></p> <ul> <li>Initial 6-month contract term with potential for extension</li> <li>Competitive hourly/daily rate, commensurate with experience</li> <li>Fully remote</li> <li>Possibility of full-time conversion to HERE or to the customer at the end of the engagement</li> <li>Dedicated to a single customer — no competing project demands</li> <li>Access to HERE platform documentation, training resources, and engineering support</li> <li>Must be US based and reside within the Eastern time zone and be legally authorized to work in the US without current or future need for sponsorship</li> </ul> <p><strong>Life at HERE </strong></p> <p>At HERE, we pride ourselves on fostering a friendly, collaborative, and supportive culture that truly respects the diversity of thought.
