Role Overview

The User Experience and Design team is responsible for software design across advisor services platforms, which are primarily desktop and responsive mobile. We are a multi-disciplinary group of user experience designers, visual designers, content writers, and researchers. We partner with strategic business and technology teams to build excellent software experiences. Our purpose is designing tools and experiences that enable users to achieve their financial goals.

Key Responsibilities

Design Consulting

  • Facilitate collaborative design sessions, including sketching and ideation.
  • Lead design reviews and drive design decisions.
  • Create design solutions with a multi-faceted team, considering all aspects of the advisor experience.
  • Translate established patterns and design systems to ensure company goals are met.
  • Visualize ideas clearly using sketches, diagrams, wireframes, or prototypes, and provide appropriate documentation.

Design Management

  • Set expectations with project teams and prioritize design activities.
  • Create and maintain design schedules.
  • Communicate project status and agreements with cross-functional partners.
  • Review work with UX managers, keep them informed of project status, and escalate issues as needed.

Design Expertise & Execution

  • Maintain high design standards established by the team.
  • Conduct primary design activities, produce deliverables, and perform design quality assurance.
  • Participate in and support user research efforts.
  • Continuously improve design processes and methods.

Required Qualifications

Technical Skills:

  • Expertise in foundational UX principles.
  • Experience executing high-fidelity design.
  • Documentation and project tracking experience with tools such as Confluence and Jira.

Compensation & Benefits

The estimated pay rate for this position is $65.00/hr to $75.00/hr.
