About the position

The Warehouse Clerk position at Innova Solutions involves supporting warehouse operations through various clerical and logistical tasks. The role is essential for maintaining efficient workflow, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and providing excellent customer service. The Warehouse Clerk will assist management in executing strategic directions, manage appointment schedules, and oversee operational document flow while maintaining accurate records and inventory control.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Management in executing daily strategic directions of the assigned department.
  • Perform clerical functions related to warehouse activities.
  • Organize and distribute work in the assigned department and maintain records and files.
  • Manage appointment schedules and operational document flow, ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
  • Support warehouse activities for picking, packing, shipping, receiving, reverse logistics, and inventory control.
  • Complete special projects that require forklift operation while achieving high performance and customer service standards.
  • Report daily key performance metrics throughout the assigned area.
  • Support dealer and corporate staff with order status, tracking, and emergency car-down order processing.
  • Research open parts orders and maintain tracking information and shipping manifest records.
  • Assist hourly staff with general questions regarding warehouse operations.
  • Monitor and report daily department and employee performance in quality, production, and process areas.
  • Observe and audit processes, proposing alternatives and improvements as necessary.
  • Ensure training records are updated and regularly audited.
  • Maintain required reports and data collection in the assigned department.
  • Maintain proper inventories of required office and operational supplies.
  • Schedule and maintain records of inbound/outbound trucks and shipments.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required by RDC management staff.
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment is always maintained.
  • Complete special projects as assigned by Supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years logistics/distribution experience preferred.
  • OEM distribution experience preferred.
  • Experience working in a unionized environment preferred.
  • Experience operating a Forklift.
  • Knowledge in supply chain distribution.
  • Knowledge of the general warehouse industry, best practices, and techniques.
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems.
  • Experience with labor planning and resource management.
  • Strong people skills and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management System functionality, preferably SAP.
  • Proficient written and oral communication skills, comfortable presenting in group settings.
  • Ability to obtain all Dangerous Goods Certifications.
  • Fluent in English; ability to speak or understand Spanish or German is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software.
  • Strong analytical skills for performance reporting.
